While this game presents a strong racing experience, with realistic crashes and traveling and uncontrollable speeds in head on traffic, it still has it's downfalls. (If it seems like I say stuff like this too often, then just ignore it). Don't get me wrong, it is fun and very likely to be one of the best racing games for the Gamecube, it has a defficiency in levels and available cars. The cars aren't even real, or with realistic names. The levels are extremely long, with laps instead of one long course, which it should have been, given it's not NASCAR racing and it takes place on streets. The course mapping is extremely realistic and clever, putting against oncoming traffic in the middle of the free-way. The way this game works, is that the more wreckless you drive, you boost up your power meter giving you an huge boost. The way you do this is buy driving on the opposite side of the road, getting as close as you can to cars without hitting them, and swerving across lanes like a maniac. The graphics feature detailed scenery, textured roads and buildings, but the cars you drive are missing any details except lighting effects that would make them look real. The driving controls aren't sloppy, but slide like crazy, and you get into crashes just from nicking a side of a building. Is it fun? The fun is subpar. Once you beat it, the only thing you will want to play is multi-player. But don't think beating it is a walk in the park, (If I say stuff like that too often as well, ignore it), I have owned the game for quite some time, and I still haven't beaten it. "Racing fans could be dissapointed, but play it anyway!" -Niloc
