It is time for another Mario adventure that wasn't a disappointment for you Mario fans. Lets start off with the story.

I gave the story a 9.5 because it is a unique and deeper than you would expect it to be at first. It is such a leap over the classic "Peach is missing" scenarios, and it has a dash of mystery to it.

Who knew cleaning up sticky paint could be so much fun? Its hard to explain, but spraying goop is fun. The water pack on Mario's back changes the entire game. The story: Mario is taking a vacation and when he gets to his destination, a guy who reassembles Mario is messing up the inland with graffiti, and the people blame Mario. That's when Mario starts his cleaning up. Its not as it lame as it sounds, it is hard to explain.

I find the graphics to be of their own, unique style. The characters have a strange cartoony look, while water and sludge look positively realistic. The shading and coloration of the characters is the strangest style I've seen yet.

As you see, I gave the controls 7.5 because of the sometimes clumsy hovering system. But, worse, is the boosted camera. The camera goes into walls, doesn't go where you want it to, and it just became annoying.

The sound was good because of the cool water sounds and the sound of the water packs well done, but the repetitive music and annoying sounds of creatures were bad. One cool effect, though, is the further you go from the village, the softer the music gets.

For those of you who own, if you are at 40 sprites and you are already tired, you've got 80 more to go.

"If you liked Mario 64, than you'll love this one!"
